New Approaches
Homeopathic Approaches
I have had serious swelling of the glands of my neck and face over many years. The lymph glands under my arms can also become inflamed. So I tried a Homeopathic approach. Click here for more information. So far, and after 9 months, my glands my only flared up twice. I simply avoid all red meat and dairy (cow / bovine) products. It works for me!
I have become a bit of an expert on preparing fish and chicken!
Indeed; recently when on holiday I foolishly relented, and enjoyed and relished the forbidden red meat and cow milk.(There was no goats milk available.) I was feeling great and thought it would not be a problem. You do these things when you feeling good!
On my return home within days I had boils under my arms and between my legs. Then a week later my glands went up, and reminded me that the diet only helped to manage the problem, it was / is NOT a cure! The boils were clearly a warning that my system was becoming seriously run down. But when my glands flared they were the most painful I had ever experienced.
They were so bad that I couldn't sleep, and at one stage considered ringing for an ambulance, because I thought I needed serious pain relief! Needless to say I was most despondent. It was only after some days, and with my glands coming down, I accepted that I had brought this all on myself by not following my diet.
You do not have to pay for a consultation, like I did. Simply search in Google for 'no red meat cow bovine diet' and you will find hundreds of resources that will explain why they think everyone should be on this diet! Clearly; this is only my experience, it has some scientific basis, but if you are suffering then why not try this approach? You never know, it might help.

Sjogrens' Syndrome Clinic
Sjogrens' Syndrome Clinic are actively recruiting for patients
with Sjogrens' syndrome. There are several ongoing clinical
studies. If you wish to obtain more information on a study, to participate
as a subject or to refer patients, please click here.
The future.
Gene therapy has the potential for inserting molecules such as
cytokines that could modulate inflammation in salivary glands to
slow or prevent their destruction in Sjogrens' syndrome.
Also, the capacity to produce molecules that enhance saliva production
by residual salivary gland cells, might be introduced by gene transfer.
Eventually, development of artificial salivary glands may have application
in patients, who have lost all functional salivary glands, because
of radiation treatment or Sjogrens' Syndrome.
If you have any information on new approaches, please let me know.
I will include them here. Send me an E-Mail.
