Nikon camera settings - Colour SpaceThis is an area I have found most confusing. As a web designer; I always used sRGB, 72dpi, made my images small, and deliberately over saturated them. This worked very well for web work, but the same approach will not work for printing. Depending on your camera, you may have the ability to select colour space independently of “colour mode”. Your choices are either sRGB or Adobe RGB (1998). I suggest you use the Adobe RGB (1998) space. It offers a much wider colour space than sRGB and is well suited for prints using ink jet printers. If your camera does not have a separate setting for Colour Space, don’t worry, you can change all of this using Capture NX. SummarySet in camera to Adobe RGB (1998) |
