Bangor and North Down Camera Club: Photographer of the Year 2007/2008

At Bangor Camera Club we had a 'Low Light' evening and workshop - hosted by Gerry Coe - on 2 November 2007. I took 14 images and all of them are shown below - the good and the bad. All images were taken with a Nikon D80, with a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens, on a tripod. They were taken in raw and cropped and adjusted* in Capture NX. No edits were carried out, you can see the light of aircraft in images 1, 2 and 3. In 4 there is a strange blue in the top right, which doesn't appear (for some reason in 5).

*For those who have Capture NX the adjustments made were as follows. For all - Batch Sharpening for the D80 (Camera set to no sharpening), Custom batch for convert to sRGB, USM and High Pass. For some - levels adjusted simply by dragging the right triangle across the meet the light shown in the histogram, hue boosted to 10 and saturation boosted to 30.
