Welcome...and thank you for taking the time to visit my amateur photography web site. The site includes galleries and audio visuals. I also discuss camera raw, optimum settings for Nikon DSLRs and Nikon's 'Capture NX' in some detail. I have also recently added a 'Latest News' page and links to numerous Capture NX PDF's. If you are a Capture NX user you will want to check these out. Latest GalleryIn December 2007 my wife and I took a 'Norway Coastal Voyage' from Bergen to the North Cape ( often referred to as the northernmost point of Europe, located at 71°10′21″N, 25°47′40″E. It is just 2102.3 km from the North Pole.) If you have a globe or atlas check out just how far North 72° actually is in Canada! Click here to see the Gallery, please note that it has 60 images and may take a short time (broadband) or quite a while (non-broadband) to load. I have also added a new PicLens gallery that you may want to check out. Latest Audio Visual SlideshowNorway 2007 [18 MB] This show was awarded 1st Place in the '2008 Northern Ireland Photographic Association, Audio Visual Festival' (Novice Section). Latest Photographers' Web sitesRichard Thompson was a member of Bangor and North Down Camera Club in 2006/2007. He now lives in Spain, Capture NX (CNX)Capture NX, is currently at V1.3. In Capture NX you can paint on adjustments and add colour control points that would require extensive knowledge of Photoshop to do the same sort of thing. Iit would appear that Lightroom V2 (beta) will now have something similar. CNX works with TIFF from any source (i.e. Canon Camera) and is, IMHO, the best raw editor available. Thank you for visiting and I hope the CNX information is useful and that you enjoy my galleries and AV's. Please drop me an email, even if just to say 'Hi'. Mark
